Coronavirus Emergency Appeal
As the world grapples with the coronavirus pandemic, children’s lives are being turned upside down.
From the beginning, our teams have been working round-the-clock to ensure the health, safety and psychological well-being of children in Canada and globally.
More than 1 billion children are now out of school. Child poverty is rising. The most vulnerable - remote Indigenous communities, refugees living in over-crowded camps and those living in conflict - will be the hardest hit by COVID-19.
We urgently need your support to help the children, families and communities who need us most, before it’s too late.
Save the Children has launched a $100 million appeal - the biggest appeal in our 100-year history - to protect children in crisis from the effects of coronavirus.
Our teams are rapidly adapting and responding to this crisis by providing life saving support, including:
- Protective equipment, medical supplies and training.
- Helping children learn, stay safe, and return to school.
- Increasing financial resilience through safety nets for families in need.
- Keeping children safe in their homes and communities.
Together, we can help children and their families get through this, both in our own communities and around the world.
