Following Haiti’s devastating 2021 earthquake, thousands of people were killed and tens of thousands were left without a safe place to live, clean water, food, or life-saving medical care. Tropical Storm Grace struck the region a few days later causing flooding and landslides.
Save the Children's Emergency Health Unit deployed within days, supporting the government to re-start primary healthcare services, including vaccinations, care for mothers, pregnant women and babies, mental health support, treatment for malnourished children, and care for survivors of gender-based violence.
