After the devastating earthquakes in February, 2023 in southern Türkiye, the lives of 47-year-old Feyza*, mother of three, and her family changed drastically. The earthquake left their homes and workplaces in ruins, significantly impacting their financial stability. Their temporary shelter was a tent housing seven people, including her three sons, spouse, and parents-in-law. Save the Children quickly provided hygiene kits to Feyza and her family with hand sanitizer, wet wipes, hand soap, laundry detergent, dish soap, sanitary pads, shampoo, toothpaste, and toothbrushes.
To support the national emergency response and working hand in hand with all partners, Save the Children also distributed shelter kits with tarp, rope, blankets, and bed mats.
