A. Each time you add a gift to your online shopping cart, you will have the option to select a greeting card for your friend or family member.

There are two types of cards: E-Cards and Downloadable PDF Cards (Print-your-own Cards). You can also select no card.

  1. E-Cards - You will enter the email address for your gift honouree, who will immediately* be sent an eCard with your personal message once you complete your online order.

You can send one eCard each time you add a gift to your shopping cart, even if you select a quantity of more than one for that gift item. If you would like an eCard for each gift, add gifts to your cart individually by entering a quantity of ‘1’. This way you can enter the email for one honouree at a time for each gift, and then repeat (click ‘Shop Some More’).

If you would like your gift honouree to receive your eCard at a later date, choose a Downloadable PDF card instead, which you can save and then email to your honouree on the date you choose. Alternatively, send the eCard to your own email address now, then forward when you're ready.

You will be able to preview your card before finalizing.

*Please note, depending on your or your honouree's email provider, eCards may go to a Junk or Spam folder.

  2. Downloadable PDF Cards (Print-your-own Cards) allow you to create a card that you can download, save and print or email to your gift honouree. Links to downloadable PDFs will be included in the email you receive after completing your purchase. (This email will also have your tax receipt.)

A. E-Cards and Downloadable PDF Cards have a variety of designs: Joy, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukkah, Thank You, Happy Birthday, and In Memoriam.

A. Unfortunately no, you cannot designate to which country your donation will go, but be assured it will be used where it is needed most to help create positive change for children.

A. The price of each gift is determined by the costs of the specific item, program or service and can vary depending on the nature of the program and the location where it is used to help children.

A. With each animal gift, we provide training for their care and veterinary support, including vaccinations against disease. We also provide animal feed as part of our programs. We support families to care for their livestock so they can earn an income from their growing herds for the long-term.

A. Save the Children’s livelihoods programs help families make a living and many children rely on livestock to survive. Providing animals is part of our integrated approach, which also includes climate-resilient and nutrition-focused crops and seeds, fruit trees, fertilizer, honey bees, farming tools, and wells. We also provide training on new farming techniques.

Our goal is long-term sustainability and takes into account the environment while engaging with local community leaders. We provide a range of solutions that cater to the different needs of families. Livestock is part of the social and cultural traditions for many families.

When you purchase livestock, you are also providing families with training on how to care for them, veterinary support, vaccinations, and animal feed.

Our animal gifts provide essentials that keep families warm and nourished. As their livestock numbers grow, families can sell or trade animals to pay for essentials like healthcare and education.
